Apostille
An Apostille is a certification provided under the Hague Convention of 1961 to authenticate the origin of a public document. It ensures that documents can be recognised in foreign countries that are part of the Convention. Some jurisdictions may require an Apostille on a notarised document or on documents issued by authorities in England and Wales.
If you require a document to be Apostilled, our notary will explain the process of obtaining it. Our notary can obtain it for you within a short timeframe (approximately one week) and provide you with a fixed fee. Our notary will also advise you whether an Apostille is required in your case.
Legalisation
Countries that are not part of the 1961 Hague Convention require legalisation through their Consulate or Embassy based in the United Kingdom. In some countries, obtaining an Apostille before legalisation is necessary.
Legalisation is a multi-stage, lengthy process that may require more time to complete. Our notary, in collaboration with our consular agents, can advise you on the specific requirements of each jurisdiction and propose the best and most efficient solution for your case, needs, and timeframes.
